If you're here, then it's probably because of one of the following reasons:
1) You love dragons. 2) You are a dragon. 3) You wish you were a dragon. 4) You're a dragon where it really counts. 5) You're actually fodder and will go quite nicely with ketchup. (Hey, did anyone remember to bring the napkins?)
Take your pick.
I'm your moderator, kuchenhexe. Now, I understand dragons are a rather territorial lot, and we can lean toward the antisocial end of things. Even so, I expect everybody present to know how to work and play decently -- if not well -- with others. Keep the snarling and biting to a minimum, folks. That means no flaming (whether or not you have a fire-based breath weapon).
(Of course, the flaming of trolls is always permitted. Just don't feed them, and don't chew on them either. They taste nasty...and they don't smell too good when burning or otherwise, now that I think of it... Do try and shoo them out before you gut them. ^_^)
If you post multiple pictures, or ones which are more than just a little big bigger than the maximum icon size, put it behind an LJ-CUT. If you write up a long entry, remember this: the LJ-CUT is our friend. It wants to help us. Use it. If I have to modify a post in order to enforce this rule, I won't be a happy dragon. To learn more about the LJ-CUT and how to use it, pay a visit to LJ's nifty FAQ. It's right over there to the left on the blue bar.
What's on topic? Dragons! Dragon books, dragon movies, dragon websites, dragon trivia, dragon pictures, dragon art, dragon discussion, dragon breeds, dragon personalities, dragon RPGs -- dragons, dragons, and more dragons! All genres and scale-colors are welcome here. Segregation and snobbery is not practiced in this lair.
What's off topic? Anything that's NOT a dragon. Advertisements for other irrelevant communities, posting of quizzes which are not dragon-related, trolling for LJ codes -- hell, trolling in general, how many Slurpees you had at the mall with your friends... if it's not a dragon, it doesn't belong here.
If I have to delete an off-topic post, I will not be happy. Depending on the nature of the post, I may just warn the poster, but I do reserve the right to ban without warning. (A ready example of such a post, someone joining to merely say "u sux" to the community -- such hideous spelling and lack of originality clearly points to a troll's intellect, or lack thereof, so you can bet your hoard I'm going to ban them without so much as a howdy-do. ^_~)
So, without further ado, let's discuss our scaly friends -- or our scaly selves, whichever the case may be -- and above all...have fun!
